Subject: A nit
Though Santana made it a hit the proper accreditation for Black Magic Woman is the incredible Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac.

Subject: And Your Bird Can Sing
Very good sound quality in what I've listened to so far ("And Your Bird Can Sing" and the cover of Santana's cover of Peter Green's "Black Magic Woman").

A slight correction to the Notes ... "And Your Bird Can Sing" was released in the States on Capitol's YESTERDAY AND TODAY album (some of which had the infamous butcher cover). I remember reading an interview with Joe Walsh many years ago where he described spending many hours learning to play "And Your Bird Can Sing" only to find out later that the Beatles' version was double-tracked - it wasn't a single guitar playing!

Anyway, searching for Beatles songs landed me in Wank's archive and I really like what I'm hearing. Thanks for taping the show and uploading it! Off to download some more Wank performances ...

Subject: Great time, i was the taper
Sound Quality: 4 of 5 stars. Great stuff, I was right in front, so the tones were clear and crisp. Mic'd and amped properly so the sound is good.

Show Quality: 4 of 5 stars. I showed up thiking it was a Piper Green show, only to find it was yet another Kyle Gass side project, Wank. Just two guys and some guitars. It was great! All in a room of maybe 20 people. All the tenacious d / trainwreck crew were in the crowd supporting their friends, and just great rock songs and covers from the past. A fun time and a great recording. A video exists of this night too, but this audio source was not from that one.

Notes

Wank is:

Professor Green from Piper Green (aka Kyle Gass)
John Konesky (aka Shreddy Kruger) from Trainwreck

# And Your Bird Can Sing is a Beatles' cut that is kind of an obscure one. it's one of those songs that you might've heard before, but because it was only on the EMI(import) version, not as well known in the States. Kyle mentioned it as a 'deep Revolver cut'

% Tenacious D cover

& with features Darryl Donald (JR Reed) and Boy Johnny (John Spiker) from Trainwreck on vocals.

Kyle and Shreddy can be contacted from their band's website:
